At JLJ, we believe that being actively engaged with and contributing to the community we are operating in is a critical part of our success. By taking care of our community and supporting activities as a whole, our company strives to help build a stable and healthy environment which benefits others as well as itself. We are involved in projects with aims such as decreasing poverty, providing more opportunities for basic
education in rural areas, allowing access to clean water, and increasing awareness for efficient energy usage.
There is much that can be done to help improve these conditions. At JLJ, we care and believe that everyone can help contribute to improve our community at large. Through our CSR programs, we are very proud to serve the non-profit sector in various activities in China.
In the past, we have provided our services either pro bono or at a discounted rate to NGOs looking to set up or expand in China. In addition, we are actively involved in the effort of many charities in Asia. Some of our recent and ongoing projects include:
Donations to Haiphong People’s Committee for Children. This organization aids Vietnamese children who are impoverished or infected with HIV. JLJ gave money for education and medication of these underprivileged children.
Fund raising event at Zhongshan Park for Morning Tears. JLJ helped fundraise money, clothes and books for this charity to be sent to their new center in Henan.
Pro-bono services for Habitat Shanghai—helping to establish a branch of Habitat for Humanity in Shanghai
In particular, JLJ works closely with Morning Tears, an international organization which helps children who suffer from emotional pain. Morning Tears focuses on children whose parents are in prison, children who have been neglected, orphans, street children, and other children who have insufficient care or legal rights. The organization provides for their basic needs and psychological care, as well as lobbies for their legal protection. JLJ supports Morning Tears in a variety of ways, including: helping to co-organize events, helping to design new items such as postcards or T-shirts, creating marketing materials, and directly raising funds.
